Why should we choose the Grand Caymanian Resort over another property on Seven Mile Beach?
The all-suite Grand Caymanian Resort is the only resort situated on the North Sound and offers spectacular sunrise views of the Caribbean Sea. Our guest suites are the largest on island, ranging from 500 sq ft for our Studio Suites or 900 sq ft for our One Bedroom King Suites. All suites have a private patio or balcony with outdoor seating for two. We don’t charge hidden resort fees and offer complimentary Wi-Fi, area shuttle, pickleball courts, outdoor pool, beach, large freshwater pool, beach chairs, umbrellas, fitness room, market and coin operated laundry. Sneak off the beaten path, away from tourists, but still central to Grand Cayman’s best attractions.

Is the hotel on the beach and are the beaches public?
The Grand Caymanian Resort is the only resort located on the North Sound Sea. All beaches on Grand Cayman are public up to the high-water mark, including the stretches of beach directly in front of resorts.
Are you on Seven Mile Beach?
The Grand Caymanian Resort is located on the beautiful North Sound Sea. Guests enjoy our private beach with fantastic sunrise views and ocean breeze just steps from your suite. We are a 5–7-minute drive from Seven Mile Beach.
We have lounge chairs and umbrellas around the pool and beach area. We also provide beach towels at no charge.

Is your resort accessible with a wheelchair?
Yes, there are 3 Handicapped parking spots available for your convenience. Wheelchair access is available throughout the property into lobby, restaurant, elevator, meeting room, guest restrooms and building to guest suites. Our 900 sq ft One Bedroom King Suites can accommodate a standard size wheelchair into the restroom, patio, kitchen, bedroom, dining room and living room. Hearing-accessible features include visual strobe alarms, incoming and message phone lights, and TVs with closed captioning.

Is there a supermarket nearby?
Cost-U-Less (the Caribbean version of Costco) is a 15-minute walk from our property. Foster’s Food Fair IGA, a full supermarket, is about a 30-minute walk at Camana Bay. You may also want to jump on our complimentary area shuttle to visit Cost U Less, Fosters, Camana Bay, Seven Mile Beach and George Town.

The Caymanian Room is 336 square feet (dimensions 14’ x 24’) and can accommodate the following set-up capacity:

Location & Transportation
How do I get to The Grand Caymanian Resort from the airport?
Guests can get to our property by car rental or taxi only. Due to government regulations, hotels on island are not permitted to offer airport shuttles to or from the airport. This is done to protect the local taxi trade. The government sets the Taxi fares, and you can get a taxi easily as you exit the airport. It’s around US$30 each way for three or less guests and the taxi ride is about 15-20 minutes. Please ensure you bring cash with you for your taxi ride as not all taxi drivers can accept payments with a card. Our guests receive special rates when booking their rental car with Dollar (use password holidayinndollar$). We recommend that you make your reservation for a car when you make your reservation with us. (Remember – we drive on the left in Cayman.)
Do you provide a local shuttle service?
Yes! Our complimentary area shuttle departs hourly from the hotel’s main entrance from 10 am to 5pm Monday through Saturday. The service stops at the Seven Mile Beach (public access), Foster's Grocery Store, Camana Bay, and George Town. Shuttle times are subject to change.
Is the water safe to drink?
Yes, the tap water across all three Cayman Islands is clean, wholesome and very much safe to drink! All of the tap water we get on-Island is desalinated seawater produced using reverse osmosis.
What is the voltage?
Cayman Islands operate on 120-volt electricity and is generated at 60Hz (Cycles) Alternating Current. Which is the same as the USA and Canada. No adaptors are required.

Is there diving on Grand Cayman?
Yes! There are over 365 dive sights in the Cayman Islands, so a new site every day of the year. Grand Cayman also offers accessible shore diving on great coral reefs with little to no current.

Policies
What is your cancellation policy?
- January 3rd to April 14th: 1 Night cancellation fee if notice is received less than 7 days prior to arrival.
- April 15th to December 23rd: 1 Night cancellation fee if notice is received less than 1 day prior to arrival.
- December 24th to January 2nd: 1 Night cancellation fee if notice is received less than 60 day prior to arrival.
Cancellations or changes made after check-in are subject to a US$300 charge. No shows will be billed one night between January 3rd 2022 and December 20th 2022 and 100% of the reservation for stays between December 21st 2022 and January 2nd 2023. Reservations will be released by 12pm the day after scheduled arrival.
What is your deposit policy?
- August 1st, 2023 – January 2nd, 2025: 1 night deposit will be charged at the time of booking.
What is your hurricane policy?
In effect from June 1st to November 30th
In the event that a hurricane watch or warning (by the U.S. National Weather Service) is in effect for the Cayman Islands, guests will be able to cancel their reservations without incurring any penalty. Should a guest’s stay be interrupted by a hurricane, the The Grand Caymanian Resort will offer a replacement stay for any unused nights for a future stay. Black out days do apply and reservation is based on space available. The replacement stay must be taken within one calendar year.
