Business Travel FAQs

The Grand Caymanian Resort invites business and corporate travelers to contact its reservations team directly for pricing. Because the resort does not currently publish a specific corporate rate on its Business Travel page, travelers and companies should contact the resort for current availability and pricing for their dates. Organizations arranging accommodations for multiple employees may also want to ask about group options. The resort offers discounted group rates when booking 10 or more suites with a three-night minimum stay, subject to the applicable terms and availability.

Yes. The Grand Caymanian Resort is well suited to business travelers who want more space, a quieter setting and convenient access to George Town. The resort is located on Grand Cayman’s North Sound, a short drive from George Town and Seven Mile Beach, with spacious all-suite accommodations ranging from 500-square-foot Studio Suites to 900-square-foot One Bedroom King Suites. Guests also have access to complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, parking, an on-site fitness room, Driftwood Bar & Grill and resort amenities. It’s an especially appealing option for professionals who want to stay productive during the workday while having room to relax when meetings are over.

Yes. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available in guest suites and public areas at The Grand Caymanian Resort. The resort currently lists its high-speed wireless internet service as 5G with speeds of 10 Mbps. This makes it possible to stay connected from your suite or elsewhere around the property during your business trip. Because connectivity requirements can vary for activities such as large video conferences, VPN access or transferring very large files, travelers with specific technical requirements may want to confirm that the available service will meet their needs before arrival.

The Grand Caymanian Resort is a short drive from George Town, making it convenient for corporate travelers who need access to Grand Cayman’s primary business district. The resort also provides complimentary area shuttle service with a stop in George Town, as well as stops at Seven Mile Beach, Camana Bay and Foster’s grocery store. The shuttle currently operates hourly from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, although schedules are subject to change. This allows business travelers to stay in the quieter North Sound area while still having convenient access to George Town and other popular areas of Grand Cayman.

Yes. The Grand Caymanian Resort offers two indoor meeting spaces for corporate meetings and events. The Caymanian Boardroom provides 336 square feet of space and includes a large TV monitor for presentations. The larger North Sound Room provides 672 square feet of meeting space. Available rental equipment includes a flip chart, whiteboard, PA system with Bluetooth connectivity, LCD projector and screen, and wireless microphone. Meeting arrangements can also include Wi-Fi and catering. Companies can submit an RFP to the resort’s sales team to discuss meeting space, accommodations and other event requirements. For meeting and event space details, visit our Meetings & Groups page.

Yes, for stays of about two weeks or less, Grand Caymanian Resort is a great fit. For longer relocations or extended assignments, see our Extended Stay page.

The Grand Caymanian Resort serves both business and leisure travelers, with suites and amenities designed for focused work as well as relaxed downtime.

Yes. The Grand Caymanian Resort’s unusually spacious suites give business travelers more room to work and relax than a typical hotel room. Studio Suites offer approximately 500 square feet, while One Bedroom King Suites provide approximately 900 square feet with a separate bedroom, living room, dining room and full kitchen. Every suite also has a private patio or balcony. For travelers who will be working from the resort for several days or staying for a longer assignment, the additional living space can make it easier to separate work time from downtime.

Yes. The Grand Caymanian Resort offers group room blocks and advertises additional discounts for groups booking 10 or more suites with a three-night minimum stay. This can be useful for companies bringing teams, clients or other attendees to Grand Cayman for meetings, training, retreats or corporate events. The resort’s RFP process also allows planners to provide the number of guest suites required, attendee count, event dates, budget, food and beverage needs, and meeting-space requirements. Contact the resort’s sales team or submit an RFP to discuss the requirements for your corporate group.

Yes. Driftwood Bar & Grill provides event catering for meetings and other gatherings at The Grand Caymanian Resort. Options can range from a coffee break during a business meeting to a poolside lunch or tropical buffet. The resort can work with planners to create a custom menu for an event. Because accommodations, meeting rooms and food and beverage service are available on the same property, corporate groups can potentially keep much of their meeting schedule in one location rather than coordinating separate hotels, meeting venues and catering providers.

Yes. The Grand Caymanian Resort specifically offers long-term monthly suite rentals for professionals, relocating guests, and other extended-stay travelers. Studio Suites are approximately 500 square feet, while One Bedroom King Suites are approximately 900 square feet and include separate living and dining areas and a full kitchen. Long-term rentals include high-speed internet, parking, utilities such as water and electricity, weekly housekeeping, fitness room access, the freshwater pool and other resort amenities. Availability, minimum stays and booking requirements vary, so travelers planning a long-term assignment should contact the resort for current details.

Yes. The 900-square-foot One Bedroom King Suites at The Grand Caymanian Resort feature full kitchens with a stove, oven, microwave, full-size refrigerator, coffee maker, cookware, dishes and dining utensils. They also provide a separate dining room and living room. This setup can be particularly useful for executives, consultants, contractors and relocating employees spending several weeks or months in Grand Cayman because it gives guests the option to prepare meals and establish a more residential routine instead of relying on restaurants for every meal.

Yes. Complimentary parking is available at The Grand Caymanian Resort. Renting a vehicle may be useful for corporate travelers whose schedules require frequent travel around Grand Cayman or meetings outside the resort’s complimentary shuttle route. The resort also advertises discounted rates with Dollar car rental. Remember that vehicles drive on the left side of the road in the Cayman Islands. Travelers who do not want to rent a car can use taxis as well as the resort’s complimentary area shuttle for selected destinations.

No. The Grand Caymanian Resort does not provide an airport shuttle. According to the resort, Cayman Islands regulations do not permit hotels to provide shuttle transportation to or from the airport. Guests can reach the resort from Owen Roberts International Airport by taxi or rental car. The resort estimates the taxi journey at approximately 15–20 minutes and advises guests that not all taxi drivers accept cards, so carrying cash is recommended. Once at the resort, guests can use the complimentary area shuttle for selected local destinations, including George Town, Camana Bay and Seven Mile Beach.

Business travelers can take advantage of several amenities without leaving The Grand Caymanian Resort. The property features an on-site fitness room, freshwater pool, sundeck, pickleball courts, beach, 240-foot viewing pier and Driftwood Bar & Grill. There is also a guest coin laundry, and dry-cleaning service is available for a surcharge. The fitness room is currently open from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., making it easier to fit a workout around meetings. The resort’s quieter North Sound setting also gives corporate guests a place to unwind away from the busier Seven Mile Beach area.

Yes. Driftwood Bar & Grill is located on the property and offers waterfront dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Having an on-site restaurant can be especially convenient for corporate travelers who have an early meeting, need an easy dinner after a full workday or want to meet colleagues without arranging additional transportation. Driftwood also provides catering for meetings and events hosted at the resort. Reservations can be arranged directly with the restaurant.

The Grand Caymanian Resort does not charge hidden resort fees. Complimentary amenities include Wi-Fi and parking, along with access to amenities such as the pool, fitness room, and pickleball courts. Our resort also provides complimentary area shuttle service for hotel guests to selected destinations. Certain optional services and activities can carry additional charges, so corporate travelers or travel managers who need an exact total for budgeting or expense approval should confirm the applicable room rate, taxes and any optional charges directly with the resort when booking.

Companies planning a corporate stay, meeting, or group trip can contact The Grand Caymanian Resort’s sales team or submit an online RFP. The RFP allows planners to provide their group name, number of attendees, number of guest suites required, event dates, approximate budget, food and beverage requirements and meeting-space needs. For event and group inquiries, contact the sales team at sales@grandcaymanian.com or call (345) 949-3100 ext. 4103. Individual business travelers can also contact reservations at reservations@grandcaymanian.com or 345-949-3100.
